Princeton, New Jersey
This afternoon, I shared a place that I hold dear to my heart to someone I’m growing fonder of every day. We got lost during our search for a chapel on Princeton University campus. But the journey was filled with whim and laughter: jaywalking, a quick rendezvous with a squirrel, an “intellectual” debate in our British accents about why the sky is blue, holding in our giggles when we saw a priest playing on his iPad after a confessional, and checking out small photography shops. If there’s one thing I learned today, it’s that we don’t need to have it all together. Sometimes we’ll get lost and may have to ask for directions, but these are the moments when we’re greeted with pleasant surprises. And how thankful I am to be part of a new journey with someone.
